We visited a few different locations on Isaac & Claire’s wedding day. We began at Claire’s parent’s house for some getting ready shots of the girls. Then it was on to Queen Elizabeth Park to meet the guys. Due to logistical reasons, the couple had decided to take their family pictures and couple shots before the ceremony. So, we set up a “first look” moment for them. It went perfectly and was very emotional for all involved.

Once we’d concluded our shoot in Queen Elizabeth Park we moved on to Granville Island for the couple shots. A couple of groomsmen came along for the ride so we managed to get some shots with them too before time ran out! Brock House was next for the ceremony and reception. It was a wonderful evening with some really great people. The weather was very cooperative for the whole day although it looked like we would have rain first thing in the morning!

Here are some of our favourite shots from the day! I know there’s a lot but it was really difficult to choose just a few! It’s like going to a restaurant and trying to pick one dessert from 3 possible choices. Just have them all, right?

We met with Dan & Laura a couple of weeks ago in Vancouver’s Charleson Park. We took a bunch of awesome pictures there before walking along the seawall into Granville Island. Check out a selection of our favourite images from the shoot below…!

Last weekend we shot a wedding session on Granville Island for Hunter & Gabriela. It was a very intimate wedding and the couple had decided not to hire a photographer. Their friend Gloria, however, had other ideas and brought us in to take some photos for an hour before the ceremony, which took place in Kitsilano.

It was a cold day but the threat of rain held out and we were fortunate enough to get through the shoot before the first drops appeared! Here are some of our favourite moments! As usual we’ll ask you to let us know what you think in the comments section at the end!

As some of you might know, Granville Island is one of our favourite spots for photography so we were of course delighted when Tyler & Nikki asked us to shoot their engagement session there! The weather was overcast, just how we like it, and there weren’t too many tourists to get in the way either ;)

We started out in the market before venturing outside to check out all the little nooks and crannies that afford photographic opportunities galore!

This session is from earlier in the season and we have since shot the wedding day so watch out for that… coming soon!

Wow, what a busy summer we’re having here at Blü Studio! So busy in fact, we’ve fallen a long way behind with our blog posts! We are still here and will be updating the blog quite frequently over the coming weeks with weddings and engagement shoots since May. Yes, it’s been that long!

So, we’ll kick things off with Kenny & Leah’s wedding day photos from May 15th! We started the day in Richmond at the Westin Wall Centre hotel for some getting ready shots of the girls. From there it was off to the church, St. Monica Parish, to meet Kenny and shoot the ceremony! After the family shots, when the ceremony had ended, we took the wedding party to Granville Island before heading to the Renaissance Hotel in Vancouver for the reception!

It was a long day but a lot of fun. The weather was great and the wedding party were a real blast to work with! Here are a few of the pics…

Kevin & Kim met with us at Granville Island for their engagement session back in September. They’re a great couple to work with and we’ve already shot their wedding! Update: Wedding day photos

Another hot day and another hot couple! Granville Island was the location and I have to say it’s quickly becoming a favourite spot for us! There’s so much going on down their and the atmosphere really helps to set the mood and put our subjects at ease :)

Dinos and Stella were a lot of fun and we probably could have spent an entire day wondering around the island since there’s something new around every corner…
