The Chapel at Queen Elizabeth Park is one of our favourite places to shoot and even though it was raining on and off on Dan & Laura’s wedding day, we were very excited to be there! A whole bunch of the family was from England so that was especially fun for me (Paul)! I got to talk about football with somebody who was picturing an oval shaped ball and heavily padded players… we were talking about proper football! Shame they supported Wolves but somebody has to I suppose.

Anyway, back to the wedding day! The rain didn’t spoil anything and like I said earlier, it was only on and off. The ceremony was beautiful as always and the lighting was great for the garden shots afterwards.

The couple held their reception at the University Golf Club out by UBC. The food was awesome, thank you guys, and the speeches very touching. I didn’t get to try the cake but it looked really good too. That’s the problem for us wedding photographers, we always seem to leave before the cake gets divvied out! What flavour was it…?

We kicked off 2010 with an evening wedding at the Chapel in Queen Elizabeth Park. By the time the ceremony began it was dark and gloomy outside. Inside, however, was softly lit with candles and the intimate setting provided a wonderful ceremony which was enjoyed by Joel & Tina’s closest friends and family. I think Joel and Tina might have enjoyed it too :)

When the proceedings had drawn to a close we took the couple outside for a shoot in the dark! Luckily the fountains were lit up so we had some light to work with. We also took the lanterns outside which provided a really unique look to the final images.

Shane & Yoko were married back in August at the Chapel in Queen Elizabeth Park. Both of them had family come in from overseas and it was the first time they had all met each other. Everyone got on great though and it was a real pleasure to get to know the two families a little bit throughout the day!

After the ceremony we took some photos in the Park before heading into ‘Seasons in the Park’ restaurant for the reception.

Mike and Odina had their wedding ceremony at the Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Park followed by a photo shoot at Van Dusen Gardens for close family and the bridal party. It looked like rain was on the way for a while but once again it held out! The bridal party were a lot of fun and really helped to make the photo taking a good laugh for all involved!
