Arbutus Club Wedding {Ryan & Lexa}

Ryan & Lexa married last summer at the Arbutus Club in Vancouver. It was our first visit to that venue and we’d love to go back! The day began for us at the Westin Bayshore downtown for some getting ready shots with Lexa and her girlfriends.  Immediately after that we went outside to do the family pictures. Ryan joined us for that and we did a little ‘first look’ session since the alter wouldn’t be the first time they saw each other!

The weather was great and the ceremony on the Arbutus Club rooftop deck was fantastic. It was an intimate gathering of close friends and family and really set the tone for the rest of the evening. We had a little bit of time before the reception began so we took the couple to another rooftop area for a photo shoot in the gardens.

Here are a few shots from the day, let us know what you think!

Old Orchard Community Hall Wedding {Iain & Kaireen}

Iain & Kaireen got married last summer at the Old Orchard Hall in Port Moody. The entire wedding took place in the hall and there was a very nice park and beach next door for some family and bridal party shots after the ceremony. Iain is from the UK so it was nice to interact with his family since I am from England myself. We thought it might be a rainy day but it actually turned out to be perfect for photography, bright but overcast.

Here are some of our favourite shots from the day. Please leave a comment at the end to let us know what you think!

Morgan Creek Golf Club Wedding {Chris & Gurmeet}

Chris and Gurmeet had an awesome wedding day at Morgan Creek last summer! We began the day at Gurmeet’s parent’s home for some getting ready shots with close friends and family. Then it was off to the golf club to meet with Chris. Gurmeet arrived soon after and the proceedings were under way. It was a beautiful ceremony in the sunshine with an intimate gathering on the lawn. When it was over we took some family photos before a nice session with the bridal party. Just before the reception began we took Chris and Gurmeet for a couples session out by the golf course. Then, dinner! Everyone was hungry and ready to eat when the couple made their entrance. Morgan Creek always puts on a really good spread so we were excited to join in with the festivities!

After some inspiring speeches, dances and cake cutting the evening began to wind down for us and we made our exit. Looked like the party was going to be a wild one though! So, here are some photos from the day! Please leave a comment at the end to let us know what you think!

Kerrisdale E-Session {Luc & Kristen}

We met Luc & Kristen near their home in Kerrisdale last summer for a fun engagement shoot on some old railway tracks. The session was awesome and we were really surprised at just how much you can do with a small section of disused line. On the way back to their place we took some shots around local businesses and a couple of interesting looking alleys.

If you like the photos from this shoot please leave a comment at the end of the post to let us know what you think!

Garibaldi Springs Golf Club Wedding {Ben & Michelle}

Ben and Michelle’s wedding took us up to Squamish and the Garibaldi Springs Golf Club. It’s quite a new venue and very, very nice! We began our day with some getting ready photos of Ben and Michelle in a couple of the hotel rooms. After that we headed downstairs for the ceremony which had been set up outside overlooking the golf course. The proceedings were officiated by the Squamish RCMP Chaplain as Ben is a local RCMP officer.

When the ceremony was over we loaded the bridal party into a couple of cars and drove around Squamish for a photo shoot. We stopped by the police station for a photo with a patrol car and then headed over to the ambulance station so Michelle could get a picture with one of her ambulances… she’s a paramedic in Squamish!

The couple had use of 2 classic cars which made excellent props for the photo session around town. We ended the shoot in an old building yard which made the perfect backdrop for the wedding attire and cars.

Finally, we headed back to the hotel for the reception. We weren’t there for very long but had enough time to join in with the fun and snap some really great pictures!

If you enjoy the photos please leave a comment at the end to let us know what you think!
