Last Sunday was a welcomed break from wedding post-processing when we met with Liam, Meghan and Jeremy in Stanley Park for a family portrait. The shoot is a surprise for mum who will be presented with a framed print at her upcoming 50th birthday party… shhh! Hope she’s not subscribed to our blog ;)

Welcome Aboard! {Jon & Risako}

Unfortunately we were unable to book Jon & Risako in as wedding clients since we already have a previous engagement on that day :( However, as it turns out, all is not lost! The couple has family coming in from Japan and the US so we were able to organize a family portrait for the following day. It sounds like the two families are coming together for the first time so this promises to be a really exciting shoot for us! Can’t wait!

Well, we had the pleasure of meeting Ron Gildart the other week. He’s a local Vancouver poet and he just published his first book, “Diary of a Pen Warrior”. Since his new blog was about to go live he really needed a strong, moody portrait for his bio. page. Ron is a huge Van Morrison fan and he had a picture of the legend that really summed up the vision he had for his own portrait. We had a lot of fun capturing the perfect shot and you can see the chosen image below…
